Write a picture book manuscriipt suitable for three- to six-year-old readers.
Your manuscriipt should be appropriate for a 32-page book. (Aim for 14 spreads.) Remember to tell your story both through the text (500 to 1000 words) and
through the notes you leave for the illustrator. Your illustration notes don’t factor into your final word count.
Your picture book should include a story with at least a basic narrative arc. (An alphabet book, for example, would not be appropriate for this assignment.)
You may wish to incorporate wordplay, the rule of three, or other creative storytelling tools if they suit your subject matter.
