- Gather and read the cases.
- Record the data (variables) pertaining to each case on SPSS.
- Conduct a statistical analysis of the variables. Determine if any are associated in some way with each other. At the very least, you need to input the percentages.
- Develop a profile of the types of people who commit these crimes or commit the act described.
- Each student will present a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation of
your project and project results lasting about 10-15 minutes. Tell us if your study is descriptive or if you can make inferences. We will discuss the different stats you can use in class. - Finally, write a 9-10 page paper about your topic. Use peer-reviewed journals for your literature review and integrate your research into your paper.
Your paper will be written as follows:
Page 1: Cover page
Page 2: Abstract
Pages 3 – 6: Literature review- (what others have written)
Pages 6 – 9: Description of your study- (what I found/results/conclusion)
