You are (hypothetically) asked to determine how all the 50 schools in your school school district are succeeding, when 20 of them have opted for online only education and 15 have opted for half-day hybrid education, and 15 have determined to open fully for regular classes. Assuming basic educational information is available, such as grades, averages, student demographic information, district information, how would you do it using ANOVA? Write up a basic plan addressing the questions below. (Please don’t get “lost in the weeds.” Make your design elegant and to the point. Write the equivalent of one page or less.)
How would you set-up the Analysis of Variance analysis? What variables will you use to define “success?” What method of analysis would you use? What measures of variation and covariation would you be examining? Please be succinct.
