Write an analysis on the topic of race, ethnicity and social vulnerability issues in homeland security and
emergency management (HSEM). This assignment requires you to draw from the materials presented and

(attached) & Article 9 – Race, class and Hurricane Katrina: Social difference in human responses to disaster
(attached) . Write a three-page paper. In your analysis, relate your discussion to the concepts and how an understanding of these concepts can enable HSEM practitioners to understand better the vulnerable populations in communities, thus better plan for these vulnerabilities. Remember that this analysis is about
what you learned from the assigned readings for this week and your application of the knowledge. You must
