stories (science fiction, fantasy, futurism, slipstream, magical realism), they frequently use their fantastical elements to examine more mundane issues that affect us in our real lives. Choose one of the stories from this
unit and discuss the following in a brief but complete essay.
How has the author altered everyday reality in this story? Give examples.
How does the author use that alteration of reality to discuss, and perhaps critique, real-life human problems and failures?
