Relevance of Modeling in Systems Theory

The term behavioral model indicates the way elements in the system function, respond, or perform. In systems theory, people are able to think about their behavior and their relationships. Thinking about behavior and relationships allows the examination of systems in terms of the complexity of parts and the nature of relationships between the parts. The Resources-Event-Agents model (REA) considers the vital role of organizational resources, events, and agents that are involved in any exchange such as sales acquisitions, conversions or manufacturing processes. This week’s assignment will help to deepen your understanding of systems modeling.
Instructions
For this assignment, use the identified system topic from the prior assignments and synthesize the system modeling tools applicable to your chosen system topic. Recommend how you would design your chosen system topic to address each subsystem of the system including the following:
• Operational feasibility
• Reliability
• Manageability
• Support
• Economic feasibility
For example, using the Titanic as a system topic, how would you have designed the systems model to proactively address the issues of operational feasibility, reliability, manageability, support, economic feasibility and human intervention processes? Also, there does come a point where the cost of the system might exceed the benefits, so costs are critical and must be considered in the design of the system.
