What is "rifling? What purpose does "rifling" serve? How can it be used forensically? Discussion 2 Unlike the fictional shows, in "real life" most crime scene investigatorsttechnicians do not also work another forensic speciality. One notable exception to this is LA County, where the Crime Scene Investigators are also the Trace Evidence Examiners. What do you think about this arrangement in LA County? Would a Trace Examiner have an advantage when processing a crime scene? Why or why not? A disadvantage? Why or why not? Should this model be emulated or phased out? Why?
