Part I: Conduct a self-reflective analysis using the medicine wheel as described by Mussell (2005) to assess the four aspects of self: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Ensure that you clearly delineate and assess all four aspects; including your strengths and areas for improvement in each. Be specific; use examples from your current or previous life experiences.
Part II: Identify how your personal analysis of self (physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual) impacts your intrapersonal communication, interpersonal communication, and interprofessional communication.
Part III: Choose two of the four aspects of self that you would like to improve upon, and outline a plan to address your self-identified areas for improvement. Remember that your personal insight, ability to use resources and literature to address self-identified areas of concern, and your plan are integral to this assignment. Given that intrapersonal communication influences interpersonal communication, it is necessary to understand that healthy interpersonal communication is a life-long endeavor that requires an ongoing commitment to self-reflection and action.
