SF in the 70’s and the Season of the Witch

write about redemption for SF as seen by Talbot-
Here I would like you to write about the “Season of the Witch” side. The Zodiac killings,
Jonestown, the Patti Hearst kidnapping and the assassination of Mayor Moscone and
Harvey Milk added up to a very dark period in SF history as explored by Talbot. Some
argue that this was a result of the forces unleashed by the counterculture, though
Talbot doesn’t make that argument. What’s your assessment of the counterculture as it
may or may not have influenced the dark events in SF during the 70’s? Defend your
