Description
Must have already read the short story titled “The Storm” by Kate Chopin
• Explain how the setting of a story drives its plot or acts as a personified character and is integral to the meaning of that story.
My thesis is that: The storm is the driving force that plays a vital role in the plot of the story. with it being parallel and basically enforcing the character action.
So the thesis will have to be something along the line of that or whatever you feel is better.
Further description:
-the student should not feel the need to summarize the story to bring me up to speed, instead, assume that I have read the story (I most likely have or will). Don’t detail the story, just cut to the chase by saying “When this happens…” and explain its relevance to the argument you’re making.
-write an introduction that includes a thesis that functions as a comprehensive statement of the organization of the paper and the main thrust of the argument. No need for suspense.
-no Floating Quotes, make direct connections between evidence and what it proves.
-use as many paragraphs as you feel necessary (more than two).
-your analysis needs to return to the thesis throughout the entirety of the argument. Reinforce that thesis statement through repetition.
