Social media has become a nearly ubiquitous presence in our lives

Social media has become a nearly ubiquitous presence in our lives, and most of us have at least one active social media account. If we don’t, there’s still a good chance there is information about us online.
For this week’s discussion, you’ll be Googling yourselves to see what sort of information is out there available for anyone to see. Compile screen shots of what you find in one PowerPoint slide, save that slide as an image (or take a screen shot of the slide once you have it), and upload it here, along with any comments you want to make about the information you found out about yourselves.
Here’s a list of specific instructions for you to follow.

  1. Decide if you are going to Google yourself, or partner up with someone else in class who will Google you. If you decide to Google yourself, you’ll want to use a public computer you haven’t used before (consider going to the library), making sure you don’t log in to any of your social media accounts or email addresses first. This is because Google bases their search results in part on who they think you are.
