Social Responsibility

  Look around--do you see any local businesses practicing social responsibility? Publicizing a business's good deeds is a great marketing tool, so it shouldn't be too hard to find an example. It can be extra effort in recycling, pairing with a local nonprofit agency, paying for employees to volunteer their time in the community, building parks, selling fair-traded merchandise....a bunch of things. Go ahead and ask next time you're in your favorite place of business. Be a little tactful here, because it can sound like a criticism--you might explain this is a school assignment.
