Project Description
Background
Corporates and large organizations adopted different strategies in their Information Communication
Technology (ICT) implementation. While success and failure varied from one organization to another, such
initiatives involve strategic alignment between organizations’ objectives and its ICT objectives. Such
project is time consuming and it will take a long time to complete. These involve auditing organization
existing operations and its future direction before aligning future ICT needs that must evolve from existing
Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT). Its also involves thorough planning and adaptive
implementation of such initiatives. In addition, due to its large investment, its success must reflect a
significant increase in organization values to both internal as well as external customers.
Project Aim & Objectives:
The aim of this project is to appraise an effective Strategic ICT implementation plan in order to possibly
propose similar strategy to your own work place.
The objectives of this project are:
1. Conduct investigative research on recent published articles relating to strategic ICT
implementation plans by several organizations
2. Perform comparative analysis on similarities/differences in such plan
3. Appraises the factors affecting the successful implementation of such plan.
4. Critically evaluate your findings and propose a strategy that you may wish to suggest.
5. Provide critical justifications why your proposal will ensure successful implement of such
initiative.
Instructions
1. Form a group of 4 student members to investigate, evaluate and present your findings and proposal
2. Use CUD library online ProQuest Database resources (Computing Database) as well as reliable
information from Internet for your investigation. Do not limit the search on the following keywords:
a. Strategic information systems planning
b. Factors affecting successful ICT implementation
c. Implementation of strategic information systems planning
3. Proper citations is compulsory
4. Your research must address all of the above research objectives
5. Group presentation will be limited to 15minutes per group. In Q&A, presenters are not confined to
answer question/s within their area of focus.
6. Presentation slides must be uploaded in Moodle via TurnItIn with less than 20% duplication.
TurnItIn requires 24hrs processing time before providing feedbacks on duplication.
