Shortly after the course begins, each of you will be assigned one chapter from our reading in Gilligan’s Violence: Reflections on a National Epidemic (Prologue, Chapters 1-5, Chapters 8-10). Your first essay requires you to summarize your assigned chapter (at least 500 words) and then to write an assessment of Gilligan’s chapter (at least 500 words). The entire essays should be at least 1000 words, and you should place the wordcount at the end of the essay.
