Choose a company and Create a Progressive Discipline
Description
Give a brief background on the company and why you chose them.
Explain a Decision making process (steps) for employees to use, when management is not
present, if they need to solve an issue. (This should be specific to your company a restaurant
would not have the same process as an IT company for example)
Create a Progressive Discipline plan/policy with detailed steps for your co-supervisors and
managers to follow.
Construct a New Hire Plan- You will need to identify the steps for hiring new employees.
• Where will your company find the best fit employees?
• The new hire plan should include a brief schedule for the first week of work at your
company for a new employee.
Create a flextime/work from home policy for your staff. (Not every company can do work from
home, but every company can do flextime in some form even if it is being able to change shifts.)
Identify and explain the appraisal process for company employees and how it will be
implemented. How often will appraisals be completed.
You will be evaluated on the following:
Creation of the project (not a word document) using PowerPoint
This project must be easy to understand and explained thoroughly as you will not be
presenting this to the class, you will be graded on Grammar & Spelling – Content &
Knowledge of the information
Works Cited page, does not need to be MLA format, but needs to identify all sources used
(including yourself)
Project must be completed and uploaded by due date listed in D2L, no exceptions or late
submissions accepted.
