The Articles of Confederation.

Under the Articles of Confederation, there was no executive branch of the government. Executive branches, however, were common in the states, which had governors. What are some of the powers of governors compared to the President’s power found in Article II of the Constitution. Which is more powerful? Why is the President’s position stronger/weaker than the power of the governors’?
