In chapter 2 The Biology Of Behavior, I found the opening to be very interesting. The story about a father who had a tumor in his brain that caused him to act out of character and feel overwhelming sexual urges and uncontrollable impulses that would eventually sentence him to prison for making sexual advances towards his young stepdaughter. After surgically removing a tumor that was found in his brain that made him feel erratic impulses faded away and he returned home and everything was fine. Scary to think that a tumor or a chemical in balance in the brain can alter your personality and your character in such a dramatic way.
Another, part of this chapter that I found to be fascinating was about how the human eyes receive sensory information but each eye information from the left half of your field of vision goes to your right hemisphere and the information of the right half of your vision goes to the left hemisphere. Although I was already aware that our brains are split but I had no idea that are left and right eyes fed information to the opposite side that the eye is located in.
Finally, what stood out the most to me would be the section of genetics evolutionary psychology and behavior; were the reading highlights a study of twins and how twins separated at birth and raised in different homes not only show similarities in their physical aspect but in personalities and behavior.
