At certain times in its history and in certain places, the doctrines of Islam have been interpreted as forbidding

During the past weeks, we have studied cultures and religions that have used the human body to tell the
stories of their faiths, including Greek mythology and Christian Biblical stories. For this discussion, I would like
you think about what it would be like to express your beliefs (spiritual, moral, or ethical) in an abstract and
symbolic way that does not include human figures and without writing them in words.
Consider these questions:
1) What visual vocabulary do you think you would use? What might it look like?
2) Would you be able to tell the stories of your life or your faith if you wanted to? How would you do that without
representing the human body?
3) How difficult would it be for other people to interpret what you are trying to communicate?
