Attend one open mutual help group meeting (via zoom if possible). These
group meetings should be a 12-Step meeting, including AA, NA, Al- Anon or Nar-Anon. You will then write 4
page reaction paper that will include a description of the demographic breakdown of attendees; time, date and
location of the meetings; identification of the specific fellowship; content (what did the speakers discuss); your
analysis and reaction to what you heard and observed. In addition, your will need to critically discuss your
experiences in the context of readings on mutual help, including potential strengths and weaknesses of this
model relative to other approaches.
