You have to listen to the river if you want to catch a trout

An Irish saying goes like this: “You have to listen to the river if you want to catch a trout.” Great changes mark the time we live in now; what makes those changes compelling is the velocity of change in economic, social, technological, teleological, educational, and political arenas. Thus we live in a postmodern era. The postmodernists shifted from building the curriculum to “Understanding the Curriculum” or “Reconceptualizing the Curriculum” as a broader text. What are the ideas of reconceptualists? What are the major concepts of Poststructuralists, Deconstructivists, and Postmodernists? How the Hermeneutic Circle and the Interpretive Process changed our notions of viewing the curriculum “the interpretation turn”? How are your personal views on curriculum altered during the course of this course? How did the postmodern era impact different reforms in the UAE? How does the Postmodern era manifest itself in postmodern UAE education and curriculum in a broader sense? Is the logic of uncertainties, complexities, and messiness of education real? How do you relate to your time as a postmodern thinker? Can you rake a postmodern thinker and relate them to the postmodern era? What are his/her salient ideas?
