WK2 Discussion – What Is Your Program Goal?
Purpose
To explore how different agencies may require similar but different solutions and pieces for their processes.
Instructions
Go back and reread the readings for this week. Using what you read, in your group develop a program goal for the program in your scenario. Be imaginative and picture the type of agency where this program would reside and how the program fits into the agency structure. Develop your goal and be certain it includes: Youth Service Bureau (YSB)- this is the program
• What the program is trying to address
• The four (4) major characteristics of goals addressed in the text
• The seven (7) minor characteristics of goals also addressed
• Why you chose this as your goal
Next, with this goal in mind, write:
Three (3) program objectives that relate to the program:
• Make these objectives SMART.
• Include one of each of the three types of program objectives
• Include the indicator you will use to determine if each objective is being met
• Explain why you chose these as your objectives
