Read over the two documents, “Excerpts from T.C. Keefer’s Philosophy of Railroads” and “D’Arcy McGee Speech.” Written before the building of the railway and confederation, they were part of the campaigns for the projects.
Drawing on this list of propaganda techniques and on your understanding of how confederation and the railroad benefited some and hurt others, please write up an analysis and opinion, about 4-5 pages, or 1,200-1,500 words, of Philosophy of Railroads and McGee’s speech.
