Card sort analysis of the women center

This assignment is to write a report memo analysis of a card sort. To start the assignment I made
a list of 40 words from the women center at Saint cloud state university and other women center.
I sent an email asking students found my computer science and statistics class to help me do a
card sort. A few students responded that they will help. I sent five students who may in the future
go to the women center website, 40 words to do an open card sort. After they completed the
card sort, they took a picture and sent it to me in an email with their age, major, gender and year.
The assignment is to analyze the five card sort and write a memo as follows:

Introduction: intro

Methodology: what are steps I took to do the card sort with students

Demographics: a table with age, year, Major, gender and a paragraph talking about the demographics

Data analysis (The bulk of the memo)
((do not separately analyze each student but analyze the entire five cards sort together in paragraphs)) as follows: no particular order of the questions below.
How did they arrange their topics? What’s interesting about the 5 card sort?
What surprised me as I look across the five card sort?
What are the trends?
what did I learn from the cards sorts? What were the trends and best practices?
what overall structure popped up in the card sort(what were the similarities? What were the
differences?
How were they consistent? What did the students agree upon? Where there a certain major headings that tended to be consistent across the card sort?
Are there topics that people really seem interested? High level interest.?
Are there cards that people just did not seem interested and put aside? What are the takeaways of how the women’s center website should be structured?

Headings: part of the analysis
Discarded terms: have a brief discussion about words that were not sorted.
