Select at least two texts that you have been assigned to read: “why chicken means so much to me” and “I Stand Here Ironing by Tillie Olsen” determine what you see to be a common meaning or focus of these works. Then, analyze how the writers develop this meaning within the texts: look at what specific structures, word choices, metaphors, or examples they use to invite the reader to understand and to share the experience of this understanding in reading these two works.
