Covid-19

Biomedical ethics argues that we are morally obliged to take part in some form of human research in order to
give back to the community. Given the current global pandemic, and the advent of a newly developed vaccine,
are we (as medical professionals) obliged to voluntarily receive a Covid-19 vaccination for the sake of
advancing the understanding of the efficacy of the vaccine? Is offering payment for receiving the vaccine an
attempt at enticing individuals to get vaccinated, or is it a ploy by pharmaceutical/government agencies to mask
the potential risk the vaccine may have? Keep in mind what biomedical ethicists state is necessary for a person
to understand/know before taking part in a clinical trial. Also note, that the Covid-19 vaccine is currently in its
end trial phases, and this article hints at payment for the vaccine once it is available to the public. Please note
that the FDA has nearly halved the time necessary for a medication to be tested due to the severity of the
current pandemic.
Task: Read Experts Spar Over Ethical Question: Should we be paid to get COVID-19 shots?

conduct very light research to justify your response.
