In today’s political climate(s), our democracy is constantly challenged by those wanting to dictate while holding office and rule as a dictator. Benjamin Franklin once said while standing on the steps of Independence Hall when asked, “What type of government will you give us”? He replied, “a republic if you can keep it.” For this essay, please discuss the fragilities of our democracy.
