Workshop is a multi-faceted, peer-assessment assessment. Your submission will be marked by five other students and you, in turn, will mark five submissions of your peers. Everything will be anonymous. Evaluation is one of the highest levels of learning.
You will submit a structured paper about a chosen entry mode. There is a Choice tool from which to choose one of six entry modes:
exporting
2. non-equity collaborative ventures (e.g. outsourcing and projects), 3. licensing, 4. franchising, 5. joint ventures, 6. wholly owned (100%) subsidiary.
The following content is required. Please include sub-headings:
1. How does your entry mode work? 2. What are the advantages and disadvantages? 3 How does the need for control, importance of flexibility, attitude towards risk, and cost influence the choice of your entry mode? 4. Provide at least one example of a company that used your chosen mode to enter a foreign country.
Your paper should be approximately four or five pages, not including references. Please title your paper with your chosen entry mode as shown above or on the Choice tool. APA formatting is expected. Use your own words and cite sources correctly!
