Develop a slide deck on a presentation platform (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, Keynote, etc.) that highlights a prevalent environmental issue in our nation. In your slides, make sure to provide a definition of the issue, description of the area of the United States it affects, description of the population impacted in that area, and description of efforts taken to address the issue in that area. An example outline of your presentation is as follows:
Slides 1-2: Description of the environmental health issue – This issue could be anything you wish! Examples of options include: air pollution, water pollution, solid waste management, hazardous waste, pesticides, food safety, and others.
Slides 4-6: Identification and description of selected geographical area- You can look at the US Census reports to provide demographics of the affected population. Make sure to describe geographical characteristics as well.
Slides 6-8: Description of environmental health issue in chosen geographical area- Make sure to describe data on prevalence and trends. What are the primary contributing factors for the health issue?
Slides 9-10: Brief description of policies and/or programs in place to prevent, reduce, or mitigate the environmental-related issue within the geographical area
