External analysis – Conduct a general environment analysis of Facebook as of 2011:

Choose three of the six (demographic, sociocultural, political/legal, technological, economic, and global) general environment segments considered in Chapter 2 (pgs. 43-51).

Provide two factors or trends within each of the three segments that you choose.

Internal analysis – Conduct a value chain analysis of Facebook as of 2011:

Identify which three activities from the value chain (see Exhibit 3.1 in the text, page 74) are the most essential value creating activities (choose at least one primary activity and at least one secondary activity).

Provide two recommendations for Facebook moving forward, making sure to consider the potential for earning tangible revenue as well as the trends and consumer preferences in their industry.
