Federalism is often a testing ground for new ideas to address our country’s challenges. Looking at the state level (stick to larger states for most topics), describe a specific program or set of programs that address your challenge better than US System does. Be sure to tell us why this example works better than what we currently have nationally. This blog will form the first part of the Strategy Page on your Final Portfolio page. You want to know what the other state or locality did and whether or not it worked. You also want to look at how long the process of enacting it took and what it took to make it happen. Think about how you could use this information to set goals and help map out strategies to move your challenge forward in the US but spend most of your effort understanding what the other state or locality did first.
