Imaginary school age child and temperament chart

For this post child development , you will need to create an imaginary school age child between the ages of 5 and 12 years. Please give the following

information – make sure you number your answers to each prompt: you will make a temperament chart.It would be good if you had access to the book Fabes, R. &

Martin, C. (2009). Discovering Child Development 2nd edition. Boston: Allyn and Bacon. I do not have the book us as reference.

1) Age and gender of the child

2) Based on the “physical” domain of development, describe the child’s development:

a) physical appearance;

b) physical health of the child

c) what types of “physical” activities does this child engage in;

d) do the child’s parents encourage him/her to engage in physical activities?

2) Based on the “cognitive” domain of development, describe the child’s development:

a) what does this child “like” about school? what might be the reason?

b) what doesn’t this child “like” about school? what might be the reason?

c) describe how “inquisitive/curious” this child is?

d) how does this child best express themselves? (oral or written word? in a more creative way?)

e) would you say this child is a “problem solver”? why? or why not?

3) Complete the “temperament chart” for this imaginary child. List each of the traits and tell if you rated them low, medium or high. DO NOT PUT THE ENTIRE

TEMPERAMENT CHART IN YOUR POST – just list the traits and say how your imaginary child would rate.
