Journal entry

This is a current events assignment. The journal entry will consist of the student identifying an issue/current event in the community. The topics can either be on death penalty, history of incaceration, united nation and the problems they are facing, or female offenders and/or juvenile offenders get treated differently in the prison system. Provide a summary of the event, how it relates to the coursework, and what the implications of the event are. (i.e., Will it change our laws, will it change our way of life, will it impact you as an individual, is it an isolated incident, how does it make you feel, etc.)
