But I want you to harken back to what we learned about strain theory for a moment, specifically about societal goals and individuals being blocked from attaining those goals. How do you see these two theories lining up? What mechanisms are in motion? If you like, try making up a story that illustrates how individuals might feel strain and engage in criminal activity given their place in the economic hierarchy.
