Literary Review
Order Description
This will be a Literary Review to set up a paper to be written at a later time. the subject will be How did scientific and technological change influence Gothic Fiction, such as Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein? I will attach a short essay the writer I requested wrote previously on the topic so nothing is doubled, yet expanded upon. Here is the criteria:
1.Write a draft research question and some keywords you will use to conduct your searches. Please do not use Wikipedia or a basic Google searches for your research. Rather, use the peer-reviewed resources available to you through the Rutgers Library. If you have any questions about this, please contact me or a Rutgers librarian.
2..Identify the key literary work and articles you will be using for your final paper. In your review, you will compile the research that has been published on your topic by recognized scholars and researchers. Your goal is to convey to your reader what knowledge and ideas have been established on a topic and what their strengths and weaknesses might be. Specifically, your literature review should:
•Clearly state the research question or topic you are developing.
•Ensure the document meets either APA or MLA writing guidelines. You may choose your preference between them.
•Identify the keywords and phrases that describe your topic and make a list of possible synonyms.
•Summarize the key ideas you’ve discovered in your research, and identify gaps and areas of controversy in the field. Ultimately, this section can become the introduction for your final paper, so take the time to really analyze and synthesize your research.
•List the most relevant books and scholarly journals on your topic and provide a brief summary of each. Ideally, these summaries will link back to the summary you provided and will demonstrate how each essay relates back to the big ideas and controversies in the field.
•Formulate questions that need further research.
5.Make sure that your review does not focus too much on plot, story, and character development. The goal of this review is to target how your chosen topic has been influenced, improved (or perhaps negatively impacted) by the application of technology.
