A film dealing with Chinese culture and write a response paper. Some are available at the VC library and you might be able to access them on Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, etc.
Your five-paragraph response paper will detail three points on how the film contributed to your understanding of Chinese culture. You may draw on what you have learned in the course to develop your points. The paper should be at least 500 words in length. A word count must be included somewhere on your paper. It should be typed, double-spaced, with one-inch margins at top, bottom and sides and 12 standard size font. Your grade will be based on organization, content and grammar. Spelling and grammatical errors will lower your grade. To avoid this, proofread prior to submission. Papers that are replete with errors will receive a lowered or failing grade, and there are no opportunities for rewrites. If you need additional help, seek assistance at the Writing Center at one of the VC campuses. Late papers will not receive a grade higher than a “C”. See syllabus for additional information.
