Write a 3- to 5-page essay providing a point and counterpoint discussion about the defenders and critics of the status quo. Your essay should highlight and analyze three or more major points of disagreement between the two sides, and provide examples from the authors to support your analysis. Use the Learning Resources and any other scholarly literature of your choice to support your analysis.
