Sampling

You are researching a problem with society. However, researchers rarely have the luxury of observing all of
society, and so this week you are learning about “sampling”. Think about your research topic – which groups in
society will you need to examine to perform your research? If it is not possible to observe all of them, how will
you select a sample population for your research?
The articles that you are continuing to review will almost certainly have involved sampled populations. Choose
one of the articles you are reviewing – what sample population did they use? How did the author(s) select their
sample population? How did the sampling process ease or complicate their research? Be sure to cite the
article in APA format.
