Studies on sex trafficking currently are limited, as the topic has not been around for long enough. However, many of the studies reviewed in the research focus on women in sex trafficking, though there is a need for more information on men and youth in general. In the past fifteen years, there have been few studies published on the subject as the topic is considered a new topic (Boyce, Sabrina, et al. ). The literature review shows many psychological, physical, and social effects of sex trafficking on the youth.
