is comprised of 2 parts, a Reflective Diary and a
Creative Portfolio ‘Your Ideal Job’. The following guidance is provided to assist you in
completing the Assignment according to the requirements and marking criteria.
Part One – The Reflective Diary
Throughout the year, planning will be required, and a personal reflective diary
updated after each workshop. This will form a set of Five Workshop Write Ups,
showing the activity, your background research on the tool, your reflection on the
workshop, how you would use it in your practice, what benefits can be seen and
what constraints.
It will consist of a minimum of One A4 page per workshop although it is suggested
that this should be supported by ‘supplements’, that demonstrate the use of some of
the ‘tools and techniques’; these may not be on A4 and demonstrating creativity will
gain you better marks.
A suggested format might be:
?
Workshop # – title, date.
?
Introduction – what the session was about.
?
Your reading around the tool (if appropriate) – i.e. references to KETSO and mind
mapping such as Key authors.
?
Your reflection – how you found the session, including the process and content.
?
ABC – Actions, Benefits and Constraints.
?
o
Actions – how you might use the tool in your own practice.
o
Benefits – what are the benefits of the ‘tool’?
o
Constraints – what you need to carefully consider.
You should supplement the summaries with pictures / references etc.
Part Two – The Creative Portfolio ‘Your Ideal Job’
The Creative Portfolio is your opportunity to explore your current ways of thinking,
your approach to learning, and to testing out Three Approaches, which will develop
your individual creativity.
The Creative Portfolio should have the following elements:
?
Mind Map,
?
Rich Picture, and
?
Personal Business Model Canvas of your Ideal Job.
The Creative Portfolio (1,500 words) should build on the Reflective Diary to link
theory to practice and should demonstrate your own further reading and research
on the ‘workshop creativity tools’ explored in the lectures and workshops.
It should include how you have found the ‘experience’ of using the ‘Three
Approaches’ and may include observation of how others have used / experienced
the workshops.
Suggested areas of focus could include:
• Introduction.
• A description of how you went about creating your Mind Map, Rich
Picture and Personal Business Model Canvas of your Ideal Job.
• A narrative of findings from your further reading and personal use of the
‘Three Approaches’ (Mind Map, Rich Picture and Personal Business Model
Canvas of your Ideal Job).
• Summary of key learning points.
• Your personal reflection on the use of the ‘Three Approaches’.
• Conclusion.
