The Best War, Ever’s

Citing and quoting from The Best War Ever’s chapter 5, “Home Front Change,” answer the following questions:

5. Re-read the sections from around pp. 92–102. How did the booming war economy and the crusade against
   Nazism show African Americans that indeed, American society could be improved for all its citizens? How did
   the war effort and experience impact the growing civil rights movement?
6. Referring again to the sections from around pp. 92–102: How did changes on the home front affect all the
   different minority communities (not only African Americans)? And how did home front changes affect traditional
   patterns of behavior, such as youth culture and family values?
   Responses must be a min. 150 words, cite and quote from the text, and be numbered to correspond to the
   questions asked. Responses that do not meet this criteria will not be graded.
