Media Analysis Paper-Sociology
For your media analysis paper, I will be looking for you to take ten terms/concepts covered in this course and apply them to a scene/scene from a movie or television show. You must show variety in the terms that you choose (must select material from at least three different chapters).* use these materials culture, marriage & family, power of the state,media & social movement, social stratification, social structure/ interaction and conformity( by Solomon Asch) *. Be sure to cite at least your media source and the course textbook in APA format.
Sample Outline:
I Introduction on the impact of sociology (what is it and what it affects)
II Detailed description of scene from media (show, play, movie, book, etc.)
Term(s) that applies to this scene including how/why they fit
Repeat this analysis until all ten terms applied
III Conclusion regarding how sociology be applied to your own
life to help you understand society and help you to succeed in achieving your goals
IV Reference page including at least your textbook and your media source
