The need to change

At the beginning of the twentieth century it became apparent to many that the
way Americans viewed the environment needed to change. From Gifford Pinchot and John Muir to Cuyahoga and Love Canal, the
need for change became clearer. Change, however, was not always welcomed. Look at this struggle between ecology and economics, explaining the important aspects of it. You will
want to look at specific events across the country, explaining the factors involved in
change, from grassroots to government.
Explain the content. If you mention an event, give details about the event and support them. (who, what, where
and why) That way the reader will not question the event but be well informed.
