Interview with a Pastoral

Interview a full-time pastoral leader with substantial ministry experience who exhibits proficiency in navigating
the challenges of weekly preaching preparation, along with other ministry responsibilities. This interview can be
conducted face-to-face, voice-to-voice, or using collaborative technology, such as Zoom or Skype. The
interview questions should cover the areas of (but are not limited to) the following:
How much average time do you spend each week in preparation for preaching/teaching?
How is this time distributed over the course of your typical weekly ministry schedule?
How do you practically make this time a priority in the midst of the other demands of ministry?
What counsel would you share with other ministry leaders on how to manage their time well in terms of regular
time to study and regular time for other ministry responsibilities?
In 500-750 words, write a report that includes the following:
Summary of the interview
Biblical evaluation of the approach used by the pastoral leader for ministry responsibilities
Description of the impact this information will have on how you will plan to manage your time as a ministry
professional
Utilize relevant biblical references from both the Old and New Testaments throughout the report and your
course materials.
