There has been a tremendous increase in e-communication tools after the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, emails and phone calls were the most used ways of communication, but now with the social distancing guidelines, apps like Teams, Zoom, RingCentral, and Skype have become more popular. This message system allows employees to get informed in a short period of time. It is very effective when brief information is required (Kolin, 2017).In my opinion, company emails are still the most used, practical, and important tool when communicating internally and externally. It also allows us to support the message with attachments. Now that I am working from home I’m using work email more than ever to get in writing everything I have done during the day like employee’s evaluation, inventory, and to many other kinds of reports. This pandemic made me realize that emails and all the other ways of e-communication can be as effective as face to face communication.
