Writing the discussion section
• In the discussion section you need to answer the research question and compare and contrast your findings with the literature
• Structure the discussion like this:
Paragraph 1: Answer the research question and any hypotheses.
Paragraph 2: Interpret these findings in the context of existing theory and/or
Paragraph 3-4: Compare and contrast the findings with others, focusing on those studies you cited in your literature review.
Paragraph 5: State the strengths and limitations of the study. What further studies are needed from here.
Paragraph 6: Concluding paragraph. What do you conclude from the study.
