Order Description
The instructions are as following.
For the paper, I would like you to critically review the book titled: “The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History” by Elizabeth Kolbert
. For a reference as to what a critical review might be, please go to the New York Times Book Review section in the Sunday newspaper or the New York Review of Books (prefer these two resources), or any other credible source that is appropriate.
The paper, which should be 6-7 pages long, should set out the thesis of the assigned book, stating both what you think the author’s main insight or insights might be and the basis upon which the author makes the argument for her point (s)… someone reading your paper should acquire a pretty good idea of what the book says and how the author constructs her argument… then, lastly, and equally important, you should indicate your personal opinion of the author’s argument and the manner in which it is made… your review should not only have a conclusion, but should also be supported by specific examples from the reading.
