Choose two heroes from different cultures that we have studied so far. Create a text exchange between the two who are “fighting” each other for their reputations. Each is trying to convince the other that he is the best hero. You should use specifics from the texts to back up the characters’ claims to fame.
After the text exchange, write a couple of paragraphs explaining to me why you chose the heroes you did and the examples that they use. Basically, tell me the logic behind the text exchange. You should know that I am a 50-year-old white woman. Although I have teenage sons, I often have to ask them to tell me what their slang means. So in this part of the paper, make sure to explain slang/text speak. This section of the paper is the most important part of the paper because I want to see that you understand the characteristics of the heroes in their cultures. In this part of the essay, I expect you to use standardized American English.
