Judgment Journal

This submission should be based on course content from Week 7. A typical entry should discuss some
judgment you observed during the week, your own or someone else’s, that illustrates an error, bias or other
concept discussed in the lectures or readings. These entries do not have to be about COVID-19, but given the
centrality of the virus, social distancing, and related topics in our lives these days, we suspect they will be a
major source of material for journal entries.
Objectives of the assignment:

  1. Examine your own and others’ thoughts and reactions to a situation through the lens of psychological
    research on social cognition.
  2. Apply course material to analyze and understand your experiences. Information from lectures and readings
serves as “building blocks” that you should use in constructing your journal entries.
  3. Illustrate your understanding of the course material by using what you learned to explain real life behavior.
