Neurocognitive disorders (NCDs) and personality disorders

Learned about neurocognitive disorders (NCDs) and personality disorders. You learned how to diagnose and report symptoms that are causing clinically significant distress but do not meet the criteria of another disorder in DSM-5. Finally, you learned about the different types of movement-related problems associated with medication usage.
D8 Assignment 2
Post to the Discussion Area your responses to the following:
• Choose a minimum of two disorders from either the neurocognitive or the personality disorder category reviewed in this module. Compare the symptoms (i.e., duration, severity, and frequency) and developmental and cultural considerations of the chosen disorders.
• Discuss potential treatment options for the disorders.
• Choose one medication-induced movement disorder and discuss the symptoms that a counseling practitioner should expect from a client who presents with this movement disorder. Then discuss the steps a counseling practitioner should take if he or she suspects a client has presented with a medication-induced movement disorder.
Support your rationale and analysis by using at least two resources from professional literature in your response. Professional literature may include the University’s online library resources, relevant textbooks, peer-reviewed journal articles, and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (websites ending in .edu or .gov).
