1. The first paragraph should be brief. You simply state the tile and author of the story you are going to analyze and indicate the two paragraphs you will focus on in relation to how they speak to the major theme: capitalism masquerading as egalitarianism.
2. You will present close analysis of your two chosen passages. Depending on your choice, you will comment on the author’s purpose and will analyze narrative voice (objective, ironic, subtle) in relation to atmosphere, character, dialogue, action, and theme. (in which requires that you quote your primary text to contextualize, illustrate and prove your claims. )
3. You will illustrate how the findings of your analysis support the assertion stated in the major theme. Depending on your discussion of the two paragraphs in no 2, you might also mention how the major theme encompasses others such as patriarchy, subtle corruption of generally accepted democratic values, proof of the village’s hierarchical system, and others specific to your findings
